God's Grace!

IMG_5743.jpeg

There is nothing like the grace of the Lord which saves us and abounds even more when sin increases! When you actually think about the grace of the Lord despite the sin of humanity, God’s grace for his people is truly supernatural! When Paul said in Romans 5:8, “while we were yet sinners, Christ died for the ungodly,” that’s the epitome of God’s grace. For God to send his One and only perfect Son down to the earth to save sinners, there is no God like the God revealed in the Scriptures who would do such a thing! That’s grace upon grace!! However, the people of God need to stop abusing His grace by thinking they can live however they want to live because God’s grace will somehow protect them as they continue to live a life of sin!! We must never forget that grace doesn’t replace the judgment that will come on those who continue to sin against God. Grace doesn’t replace responsibility and accountability of one’s own actions. And grace does’t replace repentance and one’s need to seek forgiveness from Jesus! Somehow, many have got off track and believed the lies of Satan that all one needs is grace; nullifying the blood shed on the cross, nullifying the fact that grace has been active since the beginning of creation (it’s not just a New Testament idea) and many still died, and nullifying the fact that grace abused will indeed result in judgment! Don’t believe me, look at what the Word of God says in Hebrews 10:26, “if we (the people of God) deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.” Don’t continue to think that the grace of the Lord is going to exonerate you from your intentional sin because it will not! Only the blood of Jesus Christ can impute your sin when confessed and repented of!! Repentance meaning, turning the opposite direction from your sin and not committing that sin again. Although, God’s grace has allowed many to live in their sin, at some point, that supernatural grace will be cut off from that individual like an axe to a tree, and that’s it! So, while you still have breath in your nostrils, don’t continue to abuse the grace of the Lord, but come to understand His beautiful and magnificent grace in a way that you don’t ever want to take His grace for granted!

Let us pray,

Father God, in the name of Jesus, we ask you Lord to enable us by the power of your Holy Spirit to help us not abuse your grace and to help us understand the magnitude of your infinite ways so we can never take your grace for granted. It is only by your grace that we have been saved through our faith in your Son Jesus Christ. Lord, we live in a world and a society where the enemy is constantly attacking the body of Christ with his lies and deception. Help us to always think spiritually, help us to always walk by faith and not by sight, and help us to always remember the spiritual battle that confronts us on a daily basis, in Jesus name we pray,

Amen!
